Purchase Notifications
Build social proof and urgency by displaying recent purchase popups on your storefront.
Overview
Purchase Notifications show small, non-intrusive popups like "Sarah from New York purchased Nike Air Max 5 minutes ago". This creates FOMO (Fear of Missing Out) and builds trust by showing real customer activity.
Configuration Options
Display Settings
- Position: Bottom Left (recommended), Bottom Right, Top Left, or Top Right.
- Display Duration: How long each popup stays visible (Default: 5s).
- Delay Between Notifications: Wait time between popups (Default: 10s).
- Initial Delay: Wait time before the first popup (Default: 3s).
Content Settings
- Customer Name: Choose privacy level (Full Name, First Name Only, First Name + Initial, or Anonymous).
- Location: Show City/State or hide location.
- Time Format: Relative ("5 mins ago") or Exact Time.

Privacy Options
We recommend using "First Name + Initial" (e.g., "John S.") to balance personalization with customer privacy. All data is anonymized where possible.
Notification Pool
- Lookback Period: How far back to search for orders (Last 7, 14, 30, or 90 days).
- Minimum Orders: Minimum number of orders required to start showing notifications (Default: 3).
- Shuffle: Randomize the order of notifications.
Best Practices
- Don't Overwhelm: Keep delays around 10-15 seconds so visitors aren't annoyed.
- Mobile: Test on mobile. If it covers important buttons, consider disabling on mobile.
- Real Data: This feature only uses REAL order data from your store to maintain trust.
