What is FOMO Generator?

FOMO Generator is a Shopify app with 9 features designed to increase conversions through social proof, urgency, and scarcity tactics. Features include Purchase Notifications, Exit Intent Popups, Countdown Timers, Progress Indicators, Stock Alerts, and more.

Do I need coding skills?

No! All features are configured through an easy-to-use dashboard. Custom CSS is optional (Professional plan only) for advanced customization.

Setup & Installation

Features aren't showing on my store. Why?

Most common reason: App extension not enabled.

Fix:

  1. Go to Shopify Admin → Online Store → Themes
  2. Click Customize on your active theme
  3. Click Theme Settings (gear icon)
  4. Scroll to App Embeds
  5. Find "FOMO Generator" → Toggle ON
  6. Click Save

Does this work with my theme?

Yes! FOMO Generator works with all Shopify themes using app extensions. Features are injected via Shopify's standard app extension system.

Purchase Notifications

Q: Can I show fake purchases?

A: No. Only real purchase data from your Shopify store is shown. This maintains customer trust and complies with regulations.

Exit Intent

Q: Does exit intent work on mobile?

A: Yes, but differently. Mobile uses scroll triggers, inactivity detection, and back button detection since cursor-based exit intent doesn't apply.

Stock Alerts

Q: Does this use my actual Shopify inventory?

A: Yes! Reads real inventory levels from Shopify.

Billing & Support

Can I try before I buy?

Yes! Free plan available with basic features and usage limits.
