Timer Types

Fixed End Date

Counts down to a specific calendar date and time. Ideal for store-wide sales (e.g., Black Friday).

Ends: Dec 31, 23:59

Evergreen (Recurring)

Personalized countdown for each visitor. Resets after a set duration.

Resets every: 24 hours

Display Logic

Timers can appear in different positions. If multiple timers target the same page, the system automatically picks the most important one.

Positions

  • Top Bar (Sticky): Visible on all pages or targeted pages. Follows the user.
  • Inline Product: Shown on product pages (e.g., above "Add to Cart").
  • Cart Page: Shown on the cart page footer or header.

Priority Rules

  1. 📌 Pinned Timers: Manually pinned timers always override others.
  2. Time-Sensitive: Fixed Date timers usually beat Evergreen timers.
  3. Specificity: Product-specific timers beat global store-wide timers on product pages.

Targeting

  • Global: Show on all products.
  • Collection: Show on specific collections (e.g., "Summer Sale").
  • Tag: Show on products with specific tags (e.g., "flash-sale").
  • Specific Products: Select individual items manually.

Pro Tip

Use Evergreen timers (e.g., 2 hours) on high-traffic landing pages to drive immediate conversions from new visitors.
